I am a PhD candidate specializing in the ecology and conservation of freshwater macroinvertebrates, with over five years of experience conducting research across Nigeria and the broader West African region. My primary research interests focus on providing as much information as possible about West African species of freshwater macroinvertebrates. I am particularly passionate about dragonflies and damselflies (Odonata), and I have successfully led two conservation initiatives targeting threatened damselfly species on the Obudu Plateau of Nigeria.
With a strong field-based background, I am committed to the exploration of poorly surveyed regions and the documentation of data-deficient species. In addition to my work on Odonata, I have recently expanded my research to include selected taxa within Ephemeroptera and Hemiptera, and would be happy to study our stoneflies, caddisflies and aquatic beetles.
My overarching research goal is to advance the conservation of endemic freshwater invertebrates in West and Central Africa, including those inhabiting the region’s island ecosystems. I am dedicated to improving biodiversity knowledge and promoting the protection of freshwater habitats through both research and practical conservation efforts
