I am an invertebrate ecologist and conservationist with varied interests in taxa and spatial scales. With the AIISG, I study community assembly and invasion ecology on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic and support conservation projects across the wider UK Overseas Territories. My work mostly focuses on island-adapted endemic species, non-native ants and the tiny areas of habitat relevant to arthropod management. I am based at the University of Hong Kong at present, where I also study tropical-scale invertebrate biodiversity shifts associated with climate change. I am a keen advocate of collaboration between ecologists, taxonomists and conservationists — please do contact me with any thoughts or ideas, especially where I might be able to help with data analysis
