Marco T. Neiber is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Natural History (CeNak), Universität Hamburg. After graduating in Mathematics (2009) and Biology (2010) at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, he worked for a short period in 2011 at the Universität Siegen. He received his PhD at the Universität Hamburg working on the biogeography and phylogeny of Caucasian land snails. Since 2016 he works at the CeNak on the evolutionary systematics of several groups of caenogastropd freshwater snails from southern Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia. He also worked on the systematics of Remipedia. His current research in the Mid-Atlantic Islands focusses on radiations of land snails on the Macaronesian Archpelagos as well as their relationships with continental taxa.
