Although this species has a relatively restricted distribution, there are no known threats to the species. The island where it occurs is closed by the military and no access is allowed for the public. It is therefore considered to be Least Concern (LC).

Geographic Range:

This species is endemic to the island of Alegranza north of Lanzarote. This species is recorded from one location and 10 sites on the whole island.
