Habitat and Ecology

This species possibly occurs in Mediterranean-type shrublands, although the habitat has not been described. The ecology of Hoplitis zandeni is currently unknown. This species has been found on the following flowers: Launaea arborescens, Phagnalon spp., Heliotropium ramosissimum and Ononis spp. (Hohmann et al. 1993).
