This species is relatively widespread and there is no known major threat. It is therefore considered to be Least Concern (LC).
This species is endemic to Fuerteventura and probably to Lanzarote. On Fuerteventura, it occurs in a quite large range in the central part of the island. The species is common and widespread in its area of distribution.
There are no data on the population trend.
This species lives in the dry temperate shrub vegetation (Piso basal and Piso infracanario).
There are no threats to this species known.
