The species has an extremely restricted area of occupancy (8 km2) and is known from only two locations. It might be impacted by goat trampling and overgrazing and is therefore considered as Vulnerable (VU) D2.

Geographic Range:

This species is living in a small area on the Jandia Peninsula on Fuerteventura. This species is recorded from two locations and four sites.
