This species is endemic to the island of La Palma and inhabits the southern and eastern part of the island. This species is recorded from two locations and two isolated sites. Each site is less than 1 km2, and is threatened by wild-fires. This species is therefore assessed as Endangered (EN) under B1ab(iii)+2ab(iii).
