This species is endemic to the Azores in Portugal, where it is known from across the island of Terceira. although the extent of occurrence and area of occupancy are restricted, there are no known threats, and the species is assessed as Least Concern. 

Geographic Range:

This species is endemic to the Azores Islands (Portugal; Frias Martins 1989, Cunha et al. 2005, 2010), where it is spread across the island of Terceira (A. de Frias Martins pers. comm. 2017).
